Premium stallion Taurus shines with his first vintage

Münster: 21 unridden youngster were up for sale this evening at the Westphalian Studbook. At an average price of 12,016 Euros, 16 of them changed hands. The son of Vaderland Vilnius advanced to  the top price of the evening. He changed hands to German ownership for the hammer price of 20,500 euros. Two sons from the first vintage of the former premium stallion Taurus were also high up in the price range.

Anyone wanting to train their future riding horse for the dressage arena or show jumping course themselves could find a promising match this evening at the Westphalian Studbook. The high-quality lot included 14 dressage and seven jumping youngster.

A son of Vaderland was highly favored by the international customers this evening. The bay stallion was bred by his exhibitor Adolf-Theo Schurf, Bedburg, out of the St.Pr.St. Etoile filante by Ehrentusch. He descents from a dam line that has already produced numerous licensed stallions and successful horses in Grand Prix sport. This stallion will remain in Germany for the top price of 20,500 euros.

The former premium stallion of the Westphalian main licensing, Taurus, impressed with his first vintage. He has already produced 18 offspring at the Westphalian foal auctions in the past years. His beautiful son Teakwondo (breeder: ZG Hilgemann, Ladbergen; exhibitor: Mathieu Beckmann, Wettringen) was high at the top of the price list. His dam Fawela by Fürstenball already produced the licensed stallion Valentin HW by Valverde. This young talent with the head number 13 was worth 17,000 euros to German customers this evening. Another son of Taurus was for sale with the significant name Top Star (breeder and exhibitor: Adolf-Theo Schurf, Bedburg). Dam Laura Lu by Lauries Crusador xx already gave birth to a son, Der Schöne Fritz, who is victorious up to advanced level dressage competitions as well as a licensed son by Dante Weltino. The handsome bay will start his journey to the USA at the hammer price of 16,000 Euros.

Among the jumping youngsters, Rossi-K by Glasgow van't Merelsnest (breeder: P.G. Kruizenga, Netherlands; exhibitor: Sven Beukert, Voerde) jumped to the top of the price range. Dam Indyrette-K by C-Indoctro is the full sister to the licensed and CSI-winning Vivaldi K. The young stallion was worth 14,000 euro to his new owner this evening. He will begin his career in Austria in the future.

The young up-and-coming horses at this online auction were popular in Germany and abroad. A good three quarters of the young horses on offer changed hands for an average price of 12,016 euros. Half of these will begin their careers outside of Germany. With the youngsters sold this evening, the Westphalian Studbook turned over a total of 192,250 euro.
